I was recently commissioned to create the key visual for a speical project's summer tour - ThePoets-LIVE is an initiative which gathers together a number of actors who read poems under a common theme.
The initial request was only one - it had to be a bright, colorful image full of spring after months of not so much of a brightness. There had to be an open book with flowers as well. Everything else was free to interpret and I took it as a creative challenge to test myself with, because freedom in this type of work is not that often to be found. I think that's exactly why the image turned out to be a memorable one.
I created the environment in CG, using 3d-scanned flowers and models.
The talents were photographed in a studio and then composited in the scene.
